Position Title Software Engineer - Video and Image Processing Job Overview This position is responsible for the design and development of leading-edge software products that support our world-class Phantom Cameras. Primarily, this is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) product that controls and communicates with our cameras, downloads and views one or multiple cines (video files), and performs image processing, file transfers, file editing, etc. as required. Experience in Microsoft products is a must, and Apple is desirable. Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Director of R&D Position Requirements:
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Design and implementation of desktop applications and libraries, mainly using C/C+
and C#, .NET and HTML5. o Development of test strategies which are cost and time effective. o Other duties as assigned. Necessary Skills/Talents o B.S. Degree (M.S. preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. o Thorough understanding of C/C+
and C# design and programming concepts. o Visual Studio .NET Windows application development with focus on GUI. o Special consideration will be given to past experience with image processing & compression, OpenCL, GPU (CUDA), assembler (SSE2) programming, Windows Sockets. o Strong verbal and written communication skills. o Experience in troubleshooting, debugging and maintaining existing code. o Excellent technical judgment and decision making skills. o Dependable, driven, teachable person with good work ethic. o Recognizes speed of execution as a competitive advantage for Vision Research and thus makes decisions and takes risks to support the rapid development of products and solutions. Desirable Skills o Experience in Apple OS X and iOS Objective-C Programming o Experience in Embedded Web Server development o Experience in Labview is a plus
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
